I hate cigar termites as I call them, commonly refered to as
tobacco beetles. I'll never forget my first glimpse into a box
of Cuban Montecristo that these heartless monsters shredded. It
looked as if the cigars had been shot from a short distance with
bird shot sized pellets. All of the care and hard work involved
in growing the tobacco, and then handrolling the cigars, all of
the endless months and years of aging, and the eventual painful
purchase price was all a big waste of time and...
Have you ever wondered why there are people who just know the
right way to success? It is as if they knew what roads to take,
what signs to follow, and simply they recognize where they
should go.
These people are not extraordinary personalities. They are
simply endowed with the right qualities that are needed in order
to succeed. These qualities are the primary reason why success
is only foreseeable to some and yet it is for everybody.
The question is: Why is there such thing as failure...
Everybody has a potential to become rich, at least once in a
lifetime. The possibilities are endless and one has to look
closely for these possibilities and choose one which will give
you all the competitive advantage in order for you to reach the
top of success.
Among the more than six billion people on the planet, less than
9% are rich, 43% middle class and the rest are poor. The
statistics should give us the idea that there is relatively few
number of people who gets to the top of...
In a magazine publication, the magazine editor knows stress
intimately. Working against ever-looming deadlines, she spends
her days in and out of meetings, editing and writing copy, and
managing her expanding staff of writers and editors.
It may seem inevitable that operating the command center of a
monthly magazine would invite stress. However, many people do
not realize that stress is something you can prevent, no matter
how intense your occupation or how fast-paced your daily life
is....
I had a college professor one semester that was so captivating
in his lectures that I was hesitant to leave when the class was
over. I probably would have been content to sit there and listen
to him spout off about anything as long as he kept talking. He
was interesting, yes, but even if he had stated that cats could
talk and buildings could walk, I probably would have believed
him solely based on how much I trusted and respected his
knowledge.
There are many aspects of public speaking...
"Are you blind?" she screamed, "World War III has started and
you're acting as if everything's just peachy"!, referring of
course to the current state of the world.
The subject in my dream several nights ago I am very close to in
real life. I recall replying something to the effect that "I can
understand why you think this, but the world was not that great
a place *before* 9/11 and the terrorist attacks have only served
as the catalyst for the positive, spiritual changes the world
needed...

I recently had a chance to interview several groups of extremely
successful people. A handful are famous athletes, several are
nationally known artists, writers or politicians, and all are
multi-millionaires. I asked them for the keys, or essential
factors that allowed them to accomplish so much more than the
rest of us.
Their answers included a wide variety of specifics, but to an
astonishing degree, 7 items came up in every discussion. I've
called them the "Seven Sisters of Success",...
Let me ask you a question ... if you had a pain in your side,
would you let your neighbour whip out your appendix?
Of course you wouldn't and it wouldn't matter how many
episodes of E.R. he'd seen!
You'd go to a doctor - an expert in his field. It makes you
wonder why so many people approach friends, relatives and
colleagues for advice about specialist problems, when these
people have no more qualifications than our telly-watching
friend.
Every hour of every day there are...
It was a long walk but someone had to do it. And today it was up
to Tori to carry the water from the river, through the fields
and across the valley, back to the camp.
He set out early before sunrise so that he could do his work
before the heat of the day became too much. Very soon he was
standing by the side of the river. He knelt down and cupped the
flowing water into his hands.
It felt great. So refreshing, cool and alive as it flowed
through his outstretched hands. He drank some...

Ranger approach. They rely on themselves to figure out what they
want to do, write their resume, prepare for interviews, and
create a job search strategy. And while in the Information Age,
it is possible to do all these things on your own; the real
question is "is it smart?"
There are many career specialists available to assist you with

Work brings together people of different characters and
behavior, and this often causes friction, resentment and stress.
Sometimes the boss is too demanding, colleagues may be
unpleasant, there might be too much work or the working
conditions may not be comfortable. The job may be boring, there
might be competition or envy between the workers or the
customers may be uncongenial or unfriendly. No wonder there is
tension and stress.
These are some of the reasons why most people eagerly...
"hooking Up" "friends with benefits" "booty call"
These terms have become all too familiar in today's dating
world. Are they words that you can relate to? Have you lived
them in some way? If so, how have you felt about the
experience(s) both during and after? Chances are that you have
mixed feelings at best. Depending on your age and sex, you may
give a somewhat different response to this question. Whatever
your answer, a close look at this "dating experience" that
impacts so many singles...
